There’s nothing quite as heartwarming as a tale of loss and discovery. Everyone has enjoyed films and books in which something of value in a character’s life is lost, a journey of some sort is undertaken and ultimately they are reunited with what they loss.
AFC Wimbledon and the case of the lost dentures
AFC Wimbledon found a pair of dentures in the stands on Saturday and used Twitter to find the owner.

This classic bit of drama was played out today on Twitter when the official AFC Wimbledon account sent out this tweet.
These dentures were left in the stand on Saturday. Can the power of twitter reunite a supporter with their teeth? pic.twitter.com/rbRvdAKznA
— AFC Wimbledon (@AFCWimbledon) January 27, 2014 Oh no! Lost teeth! I’m fortunate to still have my teeth permanently attached to my jaw but unfortunately for one reason or another, some people need fake teeth. I’ve lost my cell phone and my car keys. I’ve experienced the panic connected with the sudden realization that I’ve lost something valuable that I need. I can only imagine the terror of discovering i lost my teeth!
This story has a happy ending though as a few hours later the club announced that the teeth’s owner, George, and his lost choppers would be reunited.
BREAKING NEWS - We have found the owner of the dentures! George and his teeth will be reunited soon. Thank you to everybody who helped #Win
