Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has confirmed his plans to step down from his post after the 2016 European Championships in France. The 63-year-old is one of the most successful managers in football history, overseeing Spain's World Cup triumph in South Africa four years ago, as well as their Euro 2012 triumph in Poland and Ukraine.
Vicente del Bosque plans to leave Spain after Euro 2016
Legendary Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has confirmed his plans to step down after Euro 2016.

With regards to his future, del Bosque is quoted as telling Spanish newspaper AS:
“In life you cannot be absolutely sure about anything but it is my intention to continue until France 2016 and then leave. In my case, the federation will make a smooth transition and my plan is to remain involved in football and with the federation.”
With del Bosque having recently come under fire for Spain's embarrassing group stage exit at the World Cup in Brazil, as well as their defeat to Slovakia in the recent international break, it seems clear that these last two years will be the toughest of his entire tenure. If he manages to reshape his ageing team to triumph in France, he may well go down as the greatest manager in the history of international football.
