Barcelona vs. Eibar live stream: How to watch La Liga online, TV schedule and more

Lionel Messi could make some more history as Barca returns to action against Eibar.

Barcelona return to action after the international break with a home match against newly promoted Einar. Barca are currently in first place, two points clear of surprising Valencia in second place. Barca’s first season under new head coach Luis Enrique has gotten off to an excellent start with just a single loss in all competitions, but the pressure remains for them to keep up their form and reclaim the league title.

Einar are the definition of the little team that could. Not expected to earn promotion to the top flight, the small Basque Country club has reached amazing heights on a small budget and would love nothing more than to find a way take points off the Catalan giants. This is Einar’s first time in the top flight of Spanish football and have handled themselves well with nine points so far, good enough for ninth in the league.

Key Player: Lionel Messi (Barcelona)

Barcelona's talismanic striker has a chance to match or break yet another record on Saturday if he can score at least two goals against Eibar. A pair for Messi would pull him even with Telma Zarra at 251 career league goals. A third would put Messi alone on top of the list. This match also make the 10th anniversary of Messi's debut for the Blaugrana.

Key Matchup: Eibar defense vs. Barcelona

A huge key to Einar’s success so far this season is their strong defense, which has allowed just seven goals in eight games. If they’re going to have a shot of pulling off a draw, or a massive upset, they’ll need to prevent Barca from picking them apart with their patented passing game and speed. It’s a huge task for Einar, but also a good challenge for them. Earlier this season they played Atlético Madrid very tough, falling 2-1, so they have to believe they can compete.
