USA vs. Mexico live stream: How to watch 2015 World Cup qualifying online

Patrick McDermott

The United States coasted through the group stage of the CONCACAF Women's Championship, and they're facing a step-up in competition with a World Cup place on the line on Friday. The winner of their semifinal match against Mexico (7:30 p.m. ET, FOX Sports 1) will automatically punch their ticket to the 2015 World Cup in Canada.

When the draw was made, most didn't think the United States and Mexico would cross paths until the final, after both had already qualified for the World Cup. But El Tri was outclassed by Costa Rica in their group, and now has to play the USWNT for a trip to Canada.

The loser of this match will get two more chances to qualify, and is in great shape just by getting out of their group. The winner of the third place match will also receive a World Cup bid, while the fourth-placed team will contest a home and away playoff with Ecuador for a place in the finals.

If you live in the USA, there are two ways to catch the game online, both through FOX. If you are a television subscriber to FOX Sports 1, the channel showing this match, you can watch a stream online for free at FOX Sports Go. If that’s not an option for you, the other way to watch is FOX Soccer 2 Go. That’s a paid service, but one that does not require a TV subscription.
