Euro 2016 qualifying scores, schedule and more from Matchday 4

The complete list of fixtures for the final round in 2014 -- can the unexpected names at the top hold on through Matchday 4?

Dean Mouhtaropoulos

The weekend brings Matchday 4 of Euro 2016 qualifying, a slow process that has nearly reached its halfway point. These are the final qualifiers of the 2014 calendar year, so teams will be looking to make an impression -- and pick up some valuable points -- before they return again in March 2015.

Things are getting very interesting in several groups perceived as favorites are finding themselves with a great deal of work to do. In Group A the Netherlands are six point back of co-leaders Iceland and the Czech Republic, who meet on Sunday in one of the biggest matches in the group so far.

Germany are behind in Group D as well, three points behind Ireland and Poland. Fortunately for the Germans, they face Gibraltar on Friday, a team that has scored no goals while allowing 17 in three matches. Ireland meets Scotland in what should be a contentious match, while Poland has a winnable game against Georgia.

Belgium have a chance to close the gap at the top of Group B as they face leaders Wales at home. The Belgians are currently three points behind their opponents and two points behind Israel, who shouldn't have problems picking up at least a point against visiting Bosnia.

Here’s the full schedule of games for Matchday 4. All times listed are ET. Keep an eye on this post, as results will be updated as they come in.
