Carlos Vela scores a second for Mexico
It's safe to say Carlos Vela's return to the Mexico squad is going well. He scored a stunner just 8 minutes into El Tri's match against the Netherlands, and he completed a brace to put Mexico back ahead in the 62nd minute. It's not terrific goalkeeping by Tim Krul, but a good shot by Vela nonetheless.
Fans have been calling for Vela to return to the squad for years, and it seems like he might be what their attack’s been missing since their Gold Cup triumph.
