An old home nations rivalry will be rekindled in a friendly at Parkhead on Tuesday, as Scotland play host to their rivals England. It could well be a much closer game than you’d expect, with Gordon Strachan and his Tartan Army having enjoyed an upturn in form to become a genuine contender to qualify for Euro 2016. It wouldn’t be all that surprising if they masterminded their first win over England since 1999.

Scotland head into their friendly match at home to England on a high.

Of course, though England aren't a great international side, they'll still no doubt prove to be a formidable opponent. Roy Hodgson's outfit have now won five games on the bounce altogether, and saw off Scotland 3-2 when these sides met last summer. It's clear it will be another close game, and one that neither side will want to lose. As the old cliché goes, it'll be friendly in name, but not in nature.
Key player - Wayne Rooney (England)
Wayne Rooney marked his century of appearances for England with a goal against Slovenia on the weekend, as he maintained a highly impressive international goalscoring record. He's inconsistent and at times plain average, but he remains a player who can win matches with individual moments of brilliance. Scotland will be hoping he's on one of his bad days, rather than a good one.
Key question - How deep will Scotland's rotation go?
While England manager Roy Hodgson has insisted he'll take this game seriously, Gordon Strachan has admitted that he'll be rotating his squad for this match. One man who will certainly miss out is Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher, who picked up a knock in Scotland's win over the Republic of Ireland last week. Depending on how far Strachan rotates his team, this game could get quite a bit easier for England.
