The Euro 2016 mascot is a kid on a sugar high

“How much candy did you have?” “I HAD THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS MUCH.”

Tournament mascots are usually animals. They pick one that is native to the country hosting, make him extra cartoonish and then trot him about.

For Euro 2016, France decided to buck the trend and make their mascot a little boy. Of course, they also made him cartoonish and the result was a boy who looks like he’s on a sugar high. Seriously, it looks like they poured a bag of Sour Patch, three Fun Dip, 329 gummy bears and 92 Sweet Tarts down his throat and unleashed him on the football world. It’s possibly the least French thing ever.
