Mexico, Belarus tied 2-2 after wild sequence
Mexico and Belarus did almost nothing for the first 45 minutes of their match, but they've managed to squeeze a game's worth of action into 10 minutes.
Just two minutes after Raul Jimenez scored, Paul Aguilar took down Sergei Kislyak in the box and the referee gave a penalty. Alfredo Talavera saved Igor Stasevich's effort, but Kislyak was there to turn in the rebound.
In the 53rd minute, Mexico were back on the attack, and they produced the goal above. Giovani dos Santos had a rough first half, but redeemed himself with this brilliant setup for Jimenez, who completed a brace.
But El Tri were only in front for two minutes. Their shaky defense fell apart again, conceding an equalizer to Nikolai Signevich. It’s been a bizarre, wild 10 minutes after a very unimpressive first half.
