After pulling off two solid draws in their first two matches, Maribor ran into a buzzsaw on the last matchday. Chelsea destroyed them, putting up six goals. Will the Slovenians fare better at home on Wednedsay (2:45 p.m. ET, FOX Sports regional networks)?
Maribor vs. Chelsea live stream: How to watch the UEFA Champions League online
Maybe the Slovenians will look competitive this time!
Chelsea will be in great shape no matter what the result, and they’ll lock up a place in the next round of the Champions League with a win on Saturday. Meanwhile, Maribor’s faint hopes of qualifying will all but disappear if they don’t at least snag a point in this game.
The Blues aren’t missing anyone for sure, but don’t expect to see Diego Costa. Loic Remy is carrying a knock as well, so Didier Drogba could get a start. John Obi Mikel is also not expected to start the match. Aleksander Rajčević is out for Maribor, while Agim Ibraimi, Aleš Mejač and Željko Filipović are doubts.
Unfortunately for American viewers, this is not one of the games that has been sublicensed to ESPN, so the only options for viewing the game are through FOX. If you’re a TV subscriber to a FOX Sports regional network, you can catch the match for free on FOX Sports Go. If that’s not an option, there’s also FOX Soccer 2 Go, a paid service that does not require a TV subscription.
You can find the game on Sky Go in the UK and Sportsnet World Online in Canada. For listings from more countries, check out Live Soccer TV.
