Joe Hart screws up so badly that he saves Manchester City a goal

This is a new kind of special.

Joe Hart screwed up so badly that he actually saved Manchester City a goal. He miss-hit a free kick right to Charlie Austin, who scored in the open net, but because he double kicked the ball, the goal didn’t count.

The referee got the call right. It was in illegal play to put the ball back in play and, by rule, the ball was dead as soon as it was double kicked so Austin couldn’t score.

Still, Queens Park Rangers were screwed out of a goal because Hart was too bad.
