The final four for the German cup is now set. The semifinals of the DFB Pokal will feature Borussia Dortmund, Kaiserslautern, Wolfsburg, and the holders Bayern Munich. The DFB conducted the draw after the final round, and we'll see the following matches in the semifinals:

Yes. We’re shaping up for a final between BVB and Bayern, but I wouldn’t count out Wolfsburg against BVB. It would probably be a step too far to ask FCK to upset Bayern in the semifinals.

Hoffenheim 2-3 Wolfsburg
The most entertaining match of the day came in Hoffenheim where Wolfsburg used two penalties to win 3-2. Kevin De Bruyne drew a penalty in the 25th minute, and Ricardo Rodriguez converted to give Wolfsburg the 1-0 lead. Roberto Firmino scored his first goal on the day with a low, hard shot to beat Diego Benaglio. Unfortunately for Hoffenheim, they found themselves down 2-1 at the half after Rodriguez converted a second penalty after a foul from Niklas Süle. Bas Dost made it 3-1 in the 64th minute, and just when Wolfsburg thought they were going to ease to victory, Firmino grabbed his second goal in stoppage time to pull Hoffenheim within one goal. The final two minutes of stoppage time ticked away, and Dieter Hecking’s side celebrated a trip to the semifinals of the cup.
Bayer Leverkusen 0-1 (aet) Kaiserslautern
Sami Hyppiä rested four starters from the weekend and paid for it dearly after FC Kaiserslautern eliminated Bayer Leverkusen from the DFB Pokal after extra time. One of Hyppiä's starters, Eren Derdiyok, was so poor, he was replaced after only 34 minutes. Okay, it may have been for a thigh injury, but Derdiyok wasn't cutting it while he was on the field. Kaiserslautern never backed down and even took the match to Leverkusen for some time. When the match went t extra time, the referee awarded a penalty to 'Lautern for a tackle by Andres Guardado. However, Mohammadou Idrissou delivered a terrible spot kick to keep the match scoreless. Idrissou would make up for his poor penalty with an assist on Ruben Jenssen's winner six minutes from time.
Hamburg 0-5 Bayern Munich
The Bavarians marched into the Imtech Arena and just destroyed Hamburg 5-0. The scary thing about the match was that Bayern Munich never really looked to get themselves out of second gear. The highlight of the match was the hat trick from Mario Mandzukic. The other two goals were from Dante and Arjen Robben. The Dutchman’s goal was very impressive as he brought the ball down off his chest at a dead sprint before finishing very nicely. There’s not a lot to say about Hamburg’s performance in the match as it was quite awful and indicative of their season to date. Bert Van Marwijk appeared to be setting them on the right path after his hiring, but things have just gotten worse. If Hamburg don’t turn things around soon, they’ll find themselves in the 2.Bundesliga next season.
