Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored twice for Paris Saint-Germain to put them up 3-0 away to Bayer Leverkusen, who are leaving the Champions League without putting up much of a fight at this rate. Even if Bayer score three or four goals to get back into this tie, it’s tough to see them pulling out a result good enough to see them through at the Parc des Princes after PSG grabbed tgree away goals just 40 minutes into the first leg.
Paris Saint-Germain all but bury Bayer Leverkusen
The first of Zlatan’s two goals came from the penalty spot. Emir Spahic was the guilty party for Bayer, hauling down Ezequiel Lavezzi in the penalty area. Ibrahimovic characteristically converted for PSG’s second goal of the evening.
Zlatan followed that up with a goal from open play just three minutes later, and it was one of his best of the season thus far.
After the first goal for PSG, we wondered if there was any way back for Bayer. The answer to that question is now an emphatic ‘no’.
