Gareth Bale has been slowly, but surely, settling in at Real Madrid since his big money transfer over the summer. After dealing with some injuries, the Welsh attacker has finally gotten healthy and been able to get regular minutes for Carlo Ancelotti. It appears it's starting to pay off.

The Welsh attacker showed up some of the skills that convinced Real Madrid to spend a boat load of money on him over the summer.
Bale scored a lovely goal against Elche on Saturday, launching a rocket from well outside the area that eluded Manu Herrera before hammering off the bottom of the crossbar and into the net. Of course, watching it is much better than my attempts to describe it.
Pretty. Pretty. Pretty. Pretty good.
Plus with Ronaldo still out serving the final game of a three match ban, why not show off a little bit.
The kid looks like Roddy McDowall -- in make-up -- from Planet of the Apes and can score goals from nearly 30-yards out. Surely it’s only a lack of ambition or free time that’s stopping him taking over the world.
Or maybe not.
