After a dominate first leg performance, Bayern Munich just have to finish the job at home against Arsenal.
More from our team sites
After an efficient 2-0 first leg victory at the Emirates Stadium, Bayern Munich simply need to avoid losing by two goals at home to finish off Arsenal and advance to the Champions League quarterfinals.
The defending Champions League winners are again one of the favorites to claim Europe's biggest club prize. Bayern have been continuing their dominant form over their last three matches, defeating Hannover, Schalke 04 and Wolfsburg by a combined score of 15-1. Pep Guardiola's side have only lost once at home this season, a 3-2 loss against Manchester City in their final group stage match.
Arsenal won big over the weekend to advance to the FA Cup semifinals and they'll need another impressive victory if they hope to overturn Bayern's advantage. The loss of Jack Wilshere to injury and the suspension of goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny won't make their task any easier, but they can look back to their 2-0 win against Bayern at the Allianz Arena -- also in the Champions League Round of 16 -- for some inspiration.
