Arsenal forgot to put Ryo Miyaichi on their Champions League roster

Rules are hard.

Arsenal will take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie with only six substitutes. Why?

The Gunners forgot to put Ryo Miyaichi on their Champions League roster, something they didn’t realize until they had gotten to Germany.

Miyaichi hasn’t been with Arsenal for three consecutive years because of a loan spell with Bolton so he can’t be on the “B” list and play. He has to be put on the “A” list. Apparently, Arsenal are unaware of the basic roster regulations spelled out in the rule book.

In the meantime, SB Nation has received exclusive footage of Arsene Wenger writing out his roster.
