Nike launch spring boot colorways, World Cup 2006 Vapor tribute
For its latest batch of boot colorways, Nike is bringing back one of its greatest ever looks in addition to a trio of equally bright looks for all four of their flagship boot silos.

The Mercurial Vapor is recalling a bit of Brazilian flare with a colorway inspired by the Vapors worn by O Fenomeno, Ronaldo, at the 2006 World Cup up in Germany. Dubbed the Fast Forward ‘06 Vapor, the boot features a vibrant yellow colorway with a bright green heel, mimicking the look of its 2006 counterpart. The Vapor features a chrome tongue, tying it to the rest of Nike’s lineup, as well as graphic references, such as the halftone fade between colors, that brings it back to its inspiration.
Alongside the Fast Forward ‘06 Mercurial Vapor is a new colorway for the HyperVenom, placing yellow on yellow with black accents for the Nike swoosh, laces, and studs.
The Tiempo V comes in a bright crimson color with a chrome tongue and white instep and studs.
Finally, there is the CTR360, which comes in a full-on crimson color. This will be the last time the CTR gets a refresh due to its impending replacement by the Magista boot later this spring, which is an exciting prospect in its own right. The CTR360 won’t be hiding in this colorway though, appearing very obvious on the pitch. It’s a fitting tribute to a thoroughly wonderful boot.
