There was only one pre-match doubt for Borussia Dortmund's Champions League second leg with Zenit St. Petersburg, and that was the hosts' winger Marco Reus. Unfortunately he's missing from Jürgen Klopp's squad with a muscular injury, meaning Kevin Großkreutz fills in on the left. Elsewhere, they're as expected.
Borussia Dortmund vs. Zenit St. Petersburg: Lineups
Marco Reus misses out for Borussia Dortmund, though there are no other selection surprises in their Champions League match with Zenit.
Zenit apparently line up in a 4-4-2 formation, with Hulk partnering Aleksandr Kerzhakov up top, and Danny and Oleg Shatov out wide. With Axel Witsel their only true defensive midfielder, it looks like they’re really going all out attack -- and, given that they’re 4-2 down on aggregate, they really need to. Let’s just hope it doesn’t backfire too badly.
Borussia Dortmund starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Roman Weidenfeller; Marcel Schmelzer, Mats Hummels, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Łukasz Piszczek; Nuri Şahin, Sebastian Kehl; Kevin Großkreutz, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Robert Lewandowski.
Zenit St. Petersburg starting lineup (4-4-2): Vyacheslav Malafeev; Domenico Criscito, Nicolas Lombaerts, Tomáš Hubočan, Aleksandr Anyukov; Oleg Shatov, Viktor Fayzulin, Axel Witsel, Danny; Hulk, Aleksandr Kerzhakov.
