Real Madrid vs. Almeria: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online

Madrid must battle injuries and Almeria if they hope to remain in the title chase.

Real Madrid welcome 19th-placed Almeria to the Bernabéu on Saturday, looking to pick-up three more points as they wait, and hope, that Atlético and Barca will slip-up ahead of them.

Madrid sit third in the table, three points off the top, but their schedule remains busy with the Copa del Rey final in the midweek and a Champions League semifinal coming soon. Cristiano Ronaldo remains out with a thigh injury, while Dani Carvajal and Xabi Alonso are suspended. Marcelo is reportedly set to return, but Ancelotti is likely to be weary of rushing him back too fast.

Almeria have sunk into the relegation zone thanks to two straight losses, and haven’t won in three matches. Now two points from safety, the mission is rather simple for Francisco Rodríguez’s side: win or get relegated. Between having to play Madrid and being without starting left-back Rafita, it’s won’t be an easy task.

Real Madrid injuries and suspensions

Out: Cristiano Ronaldo (thigh), Dani Carvajal (suspended), Xabi Alonso (suspended). In Doubt: Marcelo (hamstring)

Almeria injuries and suspensions

Alonso and Carvajal are both suspended for card accumulation, leaving Ancelotti with a bit of a problem at right back. Ancelotti’s two options are two either start Nacho or shift Sergio Ramos outside. Rafita is suspended for Almeria after picking up a red card in their last match.
