David Luiz own goal puts PSG into the lead

Paris Saint-Germain lead Chelsea, 2-1, at the Park des Princes and it's David Luiz's doing. The Brazilian committed a foul to give PSG a free kick, then he put that free kick into his own net to gift the home side a goal.

Luiz’s biggest mistake in the sequence came with the foul. He needlessly took down Blaise Matuidi when the PSG player was nearing the corner flag and in no way a threat.

The foul allowed Ezequiel Lavezzi to get his chance on a free kick and that’s when things turned sour for Chelsea.

It wasn’t a bad play by Luiz -- it would have been nearly impossible for him to turn the ball away from goal -- but that kind of misfortune after he gave away the free kick will not make him the most popular man at Stamford Bridge.
