Thanks to Chelsea's surprise victory away to Anfield earlier in the day, Manchester City are in control of their own Premier League fate. They held up their end of the bargain in Sunday's late game, defeating Crystal Palace 2-0 at Selhurst Park in an efficient performance.

Manchester City still sit three points behind Liverpool, but they have a game in hand. They currently have the best goal differential in the division by some distance and will almost certainly lift the title if they win their remaining games, assuming Liverpool don't beat someone by 10 goals or so.
Edin Dzeko fired City into the lead just four minutes into the match. His opener was assisted by Yaya Toure, who didn’t look like a man returning from an injury layoff in this match. He chipped a perfect cross to the back post for Dzeko to rise up and direct past Julian Speroni for his 20th goal of the season in all competitions.
As one might expect, Tony Pulis' side wasn't terrific at chasing the game after they went down a goal. Toure sent City into the locker room up two goals with a magnificent strike just before the halftime whistle, taken from 20 yards after he beat multiple Palace defenders with a gorgeous dribbling move.
Palace had no answer in the second half and City were just fine with letting them try to find one. The hosts closed the match with just three shot attempts.
