Juventus vs. Benfica: Preview, TV schedule and how to watch online

Benfica will attempt to hold on to their slim first-leg lead and book a spot in their second straight Europa League final.

Jamie McDonald

Benfica have a slim advantage thanks to a late Lima goal that have them a 2-1 first leg victory in Portugal. Despite the advantage, Carlos Tevez’s away goal could prove crucial for Juve, who would advance to the final with a 1-0 victory in Italy on Thursday.

Antonio Conte and his side know what a golden opportunity they have at their fingertips with the final scheduled to be played in their home stadium. Juventus have been tough all year at home, winning 21 matches and drawing three without sustaining a single loss.

Last year’s runner-up Benfica have won their last four away matches in European play, and would love nothing more than to return to the final and try to erase the memory of last year’s disappointing loss to Chelsea. The Eagles have already clinched at least trophy this season -- clinching the Primera League two weeks ago -- but they could win as many as four.

Juventus injuries and suspensions

Out: Pepe (thigh). In doubt: Arturo Vidal (knee).

Benfica injuries and suspensions

Arturo Vidal's knee continues to cause issues, leaving the Juventus midfielder doubtful. Paul Pogba, who started in the first leg, will likely get the start. All four of Benfica's reported injuries are not new, and none of the players had a role in the first leg.
