Watch the Eredivisie goals of the season

The Eredivisie doesn’t do much defending, which means it does a lot of awesome goals.

Dean Mouhtaropoulos

Defending is important. Teams can’t win titles without defending. Defending also makes for bad highlight videos.

This being the internet, highlight videos and the YouTube machine are important, which means not defending and awesome goals are of the utmost importance. And that is why we love the Eredivisie.

The Eredivisie goals of the season is filled with remarkable long strikes and amazing goals, but let’s be honest -- there is one clear champion. Michael de Leeuw’s spinning backheel volley was the best goal in a season filled with great goals.

All hail de Leeuw. All hail the Eredivisie. All hail the internet.
