Scoring is tough. You have to avoid defenders, find the ball, get an angle toward goal and then beat the goalkeeper.
He did all of that ... and then missed the net from about three yards. With nobody in front of him.
So let’s get this straight: He can avoid a team of 11, get the ball, find an angle and beat the goalkeeper, but he cannot kick the ball mildly straight from three yards away?
It's a good thing Turkey won 6-1 and this miss didn't matter at all. Except in our hearts.
