Neil Lennon leaves Celtic after four seasons
The Northern Irish manager has decided to leave the Scottish champions after four years in charge at the club.


Neil Lennon has decided to part ways with Celtic after four years in charge of the Scottish club. Lennon released a brief statement to the media through his agent Martin Reilly on Thursday, following a meeting with the club’s board of directors.
“I have parted company with Celtic, the club are in a very strong position and I wish the fans and the club all the very best for the future,” said Lennon in a statement.
After taking over at in a caretaker role during the 2009/10 season when Tony Mowbray was sacked, Lennon went on to lead Celtic to two league titles and two Scottish Cups. He’ll likely best be remembered for leading the Hoops to a the Champions League Round of 16 in 2013 thanks in part to a win over Barcelona at Celtic Park.
Lennon's name has been linked with managerial openings at both West Bromwich Albion and newly relegated Norwich City.
As for Celtic, the bookmaker's favor Henrik Larsson to takeover the Hoops, while Paul Lambert, Malky Mackay and David Moyes have all been linked in the media as well.
