FIFA World Cup schedule, June 13: Spain take on Holland in 2010 final replay

The second day of the World Cup involves a crucial game in Group A as Mexico face Cameroon, but the biggest draw will be Spain versus the Netherlands in Group B.

SB Nation's 2014 World Cup Preview'

Unusually for the World Cup group stages, the early rounds of Brazil 2014 feature a lot of games that could go either way and are very important early on.

This should give them the feel of knockout stage games, and the first up will be Mexico vs. Cameroon as both battle to make it out of Group A. Whoever wins will have a very good chance of doing so, while a draw will be mutually destructive and let Croatia and Brazil in with a much better chance.

Next up will be the real showpiece match of the day and a repeat of the 2010 World Cup final as Spain take on the Netherlands. Both sides are favorites to progress to the next stage, but Chile will be stern opposition and leave little margin for error for either side. Spain won that final in 2010, of course, and they're still the better side, with the Netherlands having seen a lot of their older stars decline with their younger generation not quite proven just yet.

Finally, we have what should be a straightforward match as Chile take on Australia in the second match of Group B. It's a next-to-impossible draw for the Socceroos, and Chile should win this one fairly comfortably to put the pressure on whoever comes off worst out of Spain and the Netherlands. Australia are probably looking to just make a game of things in the group overall, but they can still be a threat on their day and could frustrate the Chileans.
