Uruguay vs. Costa Rica, World Cup 2014: Lineups
The lineups are out for Uruguay’s World Cup opener against Costa Rica.

Both Uruguay and Costa Rica are missing key strikers in the form of the injured pair of Alvario Saborio and Luis Suárez, so we'll get to find out how they do without their talismans here. Uruguay have simply replaced the Liverpool ace with Diego Forlán, who was probably the player of the tournament in the 2010 edition but has since been somewhere between 'out of form' and 'too old to play organised football', while Costa Rica have apparently elected to go with a 3-4-2-1 using Olympiacos man Joel Campbell as their spearhead.
Considering that Uruguay still have Edinson Cavani up top, even without Suarez you’d have to imagine that they’ll be just fine.

Uruguay starting lineup (4-4-2): Fernando Muslera; Martín Cáceres, Diego Lugano, Diego Godin, Maxi Pereira; Cristian Rodriguez, Walter Gargano, Arévalo Rios, Christian Stuani; Diego Forlán, Edinson Cavani.
Costa Rica starting lineup (3-4-2-1): Keylor Navas; Giancarlo González, Óscar Duarte, Michael Umaña; Júnior Díaz, Celso Borges, Yeltsin Tejeda, Cristian Gamboa; Christian Bolaños, Bryan Ruiz; Joel Campbell.
