Leroy Fer puts Netherlands 1-0 ahead of Chile

As it stands, the Netherlands are going to play the second-placed Group A team in the Round of 16, while Chile are facing a meeting with hosts Brazil. Leroy Fer has fired the Oranje ahead, heading in a corner just a couple of minutes after he was introduced as a substitute.

The weirdest thing about this goal? Fer came in for Wesley Sneijder in what was almost certainly a defensive sub, intended to help the Netherlands hold on for a draw.
