Mexico did well to get out of Group A, but they're now facing the daunting task of beating the Netherlands (12 p.m. ET, ESPN) to finally break through to the quarterfinals of the World Cup outside of their own borders. El Tri have made the last eight on two occasions, but only in World Cups they hosted. For the past five World Cups, they've been eliminated in the Round of 16.

The Netherlands are among the favorites to win the World Cup after coming into the tournament expected to exit fairly early. They came through a difficult group on nine points, beating defending champions Spain, as well as Australia and Chile. Mexico, meanwhile, impressed by drawing Brazil and beating Croatia in emphatic fashion.
Both teams are dealing with some injury and suspension issues going into the match. Mexico won't have Jose Vazquez available, while the Netherlands are without Leroy Fer. They're also waiting to see if Bruno Martins Indi will be ready after suffering a blow to the head against Australia.
