Keylor Navas is Costa Rica’s hero again

Keylor Navas was nearly perfect in Costa Rica's group stage wins over Italy and Uruguay. He was perfect in their draw against England. And on Sunday, he was spectacular again, denying Greece on numerous occasions to help guide his 10-man team to penalties.

It felt like the shootout was going to be Navas' moment to shine, and it was. He came up with an absolutely brilliant stop on Theofanis Gekas of Greece to give his team an advantage.

Costa Rica went on to win, making all five of their penalties. That save by Navas represented the only missed penalty of the entire shootout.

Here’s Michael Umaña’s winning spot kick.

For the first time in their history, Costa Rica are in the World Cup quarterfinals.
