France vs. Nigeria, 2014 World Cup: Kickoff time and TV schedule

One might argue that France are World Cup favorites at the moment, based on how the other favorites have played. They face a solid test in Nigeria on Monday.

France won World Cup Group E without much of a problem, and they've been rewarded with an opponent they should beat in the Round of 16. Nigeria proved that they're no pushovers in their win over Bosnia and Herzegovina and their close match against Argentina, but Les Bleus certainly enter their match as heavy favorites.

Nigeria has yet to nail down their best XI, and it doesn't help that they've had a handful of injuries. They should make a few changes again for this game. France, meanwhile, rested some of their stars against Ecuador in the final group stage game and should go back to a team that resembles the ones they fielded in their first two matches.

Michael Babatude is definitely out for Nigeria with a broken arm, while there are questions over the fitness of Victor Moses and Joseph Yobo. The good news for the Nigerians is that Godfrey Oboabona should be fit again, so Yobo’s absence won’t be too much of a concern if he can’t play.
