Algeria have made several changes as they face Germany, while Die Mannschaft have made some minor defensive alterations as the two bid to stake a place in the Quarter-Finals.

Algeria may have gotten the result they wanted in the game against Russia that saw them qualify for the Quarter Finals, but they have made several changes to that team regardless.

El Arbi Soudani comes in to partner Islam Slimani in attack, while Madjid Bougherra continued to be left out of the side in favour of Rafik Halliche and Essaid Belkalem as a centre-back pairing. Yacine Brahimi is a surprising exclusion, with Mehdi Lacen and Mehdi Mostefa in the midfield.

Germany, meanwhile, have taken the slightly unusual step of moving Shokran Mustafi to the right-back position and putting Jerome Boateng in the centre of their defence. Philipp Lahm continues to operate in midfield, with Benedikt Howedes at left-back.

Algeria starting lineup (4-4-2): Rais Mbolhi, Faouzhi Ghoulam, Essaid Belkalem, Rafik Halliche, Aissa Mandi; Sofiane Feghouli, Saphir Taider, Mehdi Lacen, Mehdi Mostefa; El Arbi Soudani, Islam Slimani

Germany starting lineup (4-2-3-1): Manuel Neuer; Benedikt Howedes, Per Mertesacker, Jerome Boateng, Shokran Mustafi; Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm; Mesut Ozil, Toni Kroos, Thomas Muller; Mario Gotze.
