England vs. Honduras, 2014 World Cup friendlies: Final score 0-0, snore
We could have seen this coming.

The most exciting thing about this match is that it featured a lengthy lightning delay. The game was halted after 30 minutes of play due to the weather, and it took just over 30 minutes for them to resume the match. Understandably, the rest of the first half wasn’t too sharp.
Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard came off at halftime for England, with Jack Wilshere and Ross Barkley replacing them. Much to the surprise of no one who's watched England's other friendlies or most of the Premier League season, England played significantly better after making this change. Of course, they still couldn't score, because they were still England playing Honduras west of the Atlantic.
Honduras defender Brayan Beckeles picked up a second yellow card in the 65th minute to put England up a man, but the Three Lions were unable to capitalize on their advantage.
You will have to watch these two teams A WHOLE SIX TIMES over the next three weeks, and for that we are so, so sorry.
