Samir Nasri signs 5-year contract extension at Manchester City
Samir Nasri has penned a contract with Manchester City until 2019.

Samir Nasri has signed a new contract with Manchester City, guaranteeing his stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2019.
The contract means Nasri will spend the rest of his best footballing years with the Citizens, at whom he's won two Premier League titles since joining from Arsenal. In a statement on City's website, he explained the reason behind his signing the extension:
”It took me time to adjust to living in Manchester because when you move here from London, it is a big change, but last year everything was perfect - I enjoyed my football and I love living in Manchester, feel very settled and I think that showed on the pitch.
“That’s why I’ve agreed this new contract - because I feel very much at home. Our supporters have been right behind me and it gives me the confidence to play my best game.”
Despite missing out on a spot in the France World Cup team, Nasri was excellent in City's successful title-winning campaign last season. He'll no doubt play an equally important role under Manuel Pellegrini over the next few years.
