Everton are close to completing the signing of Ferencváros’ young Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Bešić, their manager Roberto Martínez has announced. The young World Cup star has already trained with the Toffees, though they still have some details to finalise before officially completing the transfer.
Everton close to sealing Muhamed Bešić deal
Everton boss Roberto Martínez has revealed the Toffees are on the brink of completing a move for Ferencváros midfielder Muhamed Bešić.

In a post on the club’s official website, Martínez said:
”We hope things will be wrapped up for Bešić soon. We have a good relationship with Ferencváros, which has been really open and strong throughout. “There are certain details that need to be solved and once that’s done we’ll be okay.”
Bešić was one of Bosnia-Herzegovina's best players at the recent World Cup in Brazil, notably managing to keep Lionel Messi quiet in the Dragons' narrow group stage defeat to Argentina. His performances also reportedly aroused interest from Everton's Premier League rivals Swansea City, though the Toffees appear to have won the race for his signature.
Bešić was born in Berlin, and spent three years at Bundesliga club Hamburg before moving onto Hungarian side Ferencváros. At just 21 years old, he could be an outstanding long-term capture for Everton.
