The president of the Argentine FA, Julio Grondona, has been hospitalised with a heart problem.

According to the Argentine daily newspaper La Nación, Grondona -- who has suffered from other health issues in recent years -- was admitted to hospital on Wednesday morning, and will stay there for at least 48 hours, though early tests have reportedly determined that he has not suffered a cardiac arrest.
The 82-year-old has been president of the AFA since 1979, and is also a vice-president of football’s international governing body, FIFA. He first rose to footballing prominence by founding the Argentine Primera División club Arsenal in Sarandí in 1957.
Grondona was reportedly due to hold a press conference this afternoon with Alejandro Sabella, who has decided to step down as Argentina's national coach after their World Cup final defeat to Germany. Former Barcelona boss, Gerardo 'Tata' Martino, is the leading candidate to take charge of the albiceleste.
