Argentina and the Netherlands went to penalties, and the goalkeepers were the difference. Jasper Cillessen, who has never saved a penalty, was left in for the Oranje despite being subbed out before their last shootout. Again, he failed to save a penalty. The same cannot be said for Argentina's Sergio Romero.
