Just two days before the start of the Premier League season, Crystal Palace has parted ways with manager Tony Pulis. His departure is reportedly by mutual consent between him and the club.
Tony Pulis leaves Crystal Palace by mutual consent

Pulis has been upset with the club's lack of spending in the transfer window and has missed out on some of his top targets. On Thursday, Pulis met with Palace executives to try to convince them to invest more in the transfer market, under threat of him resigning. These talks apparently didn't go well, and Palace are now in need of a new manager on very short notice.
Last season, Pulis took over at Palace midseason while they were in the relegation zone. They avoided the drop very comfortably, and Pulis was named Premier League manager of the season for his accomplishments with the club. Apparently, this wasn’t enough to give him any pull with the Palace board, who run a tight ship with some of the lowest revenues in the Premier League.
