Premier League scores: West Ham, Swansea and Chelsea all win

Five matches on the EPL’s Saturday schedule are complete, with Arsenal vs. Everton still to come. Here’s a rundown of the results.

The second round of the Premier League season got underway on Saturday with six matches across England.

Chelsea won their second match of the young season, defeating Leicester City 2-0. Diego Costa and Eden Hazard scored for the Blues, but the real hero was goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois who kept his team in the match with some stunning saves.

West Ham celebrated their home opener with an impressive 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace. Mauro Zárate and Stewart Downing staked the Irons to a 2-0 lead, and after Marouane Chamakh scored early in the second half to get Palace back in the match, Carlton Cole secured three points with his 62nd minute goal.

Aston Villa picked up a another point after a dull scoreless draw against Newcastle in the early game. Southampton and West Brom also played a scoreless draw, while Swansea won their second straight match of the season, defeating Burnley 1-0 behind Nathan Dyer's first-half goal.
