Watch Seattle’s two impressive first half goals

The Seattle Sounders lead the Portland Timbers, 2-0, after the first half of their third league Cascadia Cup clash of the season, and they've done so in impressive fashion. Both of their first two goals came on excellent fast counter attacks, with some impressive combination play.

Obafemi Martins scored the first, but the star of the show was Brad Evans. He started the move, then found Martins with the assist. The pass from DeAndre Yedlin to Evans on this goal is excellent, too.

Martins was also involved in the second, setting up Clint Dempsey, who made a crazy 80-yard sprint to get on the end of this one. The pass is excellent and the chip for the finish is as cheeky as they get. He spun the shot so well that it looked like it took a big deflection live, but the ball did exactly what Dempsey intended.

Portland need to pick themselves up, and fast.
