Dória arrives in France ahead of Marseille move

Marseille are about to pull off one of the coups of the entire summer transfer window, with Brazil’s wonderkid defender Dória having arrived in France to seal a transfer from Botafogo:

There are few young defenders more highly-rated than the 19-year-old, who captained the Brazil U-20 team to victory in the youngsters’ Toulon Tournament last season, and who has already won a full international cap. With Marseille having looked weak defensively so far this season, he’d make a superb addition.

Not only would be able to make an immediate impact, but he’ll almost certainly be a sound investment for Marcelo Bielsa’s team. If he continues to develop as expected, there’s every chance he’ll be one of the best centre-backs on the planet in a few years time.
