Hull City make late swoop for Hatem Ben Arfa, reports say

Hull City have made a late move for Newcastle United’s Hatem Ben Arfa, according to reports.

Hull City are making a late move to sign Newcastle United outcast Hatem Ben Arfa, according to reports in the Northeast.

The attacking midfielder is a fan favorite on Tyneside, but the former Marseille star has found himself out of favor with the club. He has not been selected to play for some time under Alan Pardew, and it seems the club is about to let him leave, with the Evening Chronicle reporting that the club were trying to offload him as the transfer window drew to a close.

Transfer deadline day

Steve Bruce had been rumoured to be in the market for attacking players to recoup the loss of Shane Long to Southampton, and it looks like Ben Arfa will be that man. Some sources are reporting that a fee has already been agreed to and the player is on his way to have a late medical and complete the paperwork before the 11 p.m. deadline.
