Mathieu Debuchy set to miss at least 2 months with ankle injury
We’re only a few games into the season, and already Arsenal’s defence is looking stretched.

Arsenal look set to be without defender Mathieu Debuchy for at least two months. The French international -- who joined the Gunners from Newcastle United this summer -- sustained an ankle injury in Arsenal's 2-2 draw with Manchester City on the weekend, and initial assessments suggest he could be on the sidelines until November at the least.
It's a worrying injury for Arsène Wenger, who failed to significantly beef up his wafer-thin defence in the summer transfer window. Debuchy arrived as a like-for-like replacement for the outgoing right-back Bacary Sagna, and though Calum Chambers arrived from Southampton, he's so far been used at centre-back. Other than Chambers, the Gunners have no cover for the starting central defensive pair Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny.
That means that young Spaniard Héctor Bellerín could be thrust into first team action, with the teenage right-back having only ever made a sole League Cup appearance for the Gunners since joining from Barcelona as a 16-year-old.
