He’s a classic José Mourinho-style centre forward, with great power and aerial ability enabling him to cause havoc in opposition penalty areas. If City are to win this game, they’ll have to keep the Spanish international quiet.

Chelsea have been outstanding going forward so far, but they've bit a little less convincing at the back. That's partly due to the introduction of Cesc Fàbregas into midfield, whose ill-disciplined pressing can leave gaps between the lines. He can afford to make no such mistakes against City, where the likes of Yaya Touré, Sergio Agüero and David Silva will be on hand to capitalise.
