Manchester City vs. Chelsea live stream: How to watch the EPL online, TV schedule and more

Manchester City host Chelsea on Sunday in the biggest Premier League game of the weekend.

Paul Gilham

If there's one Premier League game you don't want to miss this weekend, it's Chelsea's trip to Manchester City on Sunday. These are the two best teams in the entire division, and as such, it promises to be a grippingly tense affair. Chelsea head in looking to maintain their 100% league win record this season, while City are hoping to bounce back from a defeat to Stoke City and a draw with Arsenal.

Key player - Diego Costa (Chelsea)

Diego Costa has made the transition from La Liga to the Premier League seamlessly, scoring seven goals in four league games since making the move from Atlético Madrid in the summer. He’s a classic José Mourinho-style centre forward, with great power and aerial ability enabling him to cause havoc in opposition penalty areas. If City are to win this game, they’ll have to keep the Spanish international quiet.

Key matchup - Manchester City's attackers vs. Chelsea's midfield pivot

Chelsea have been outstanding going forward so far, but they've bit a little less convincing at the back. That's partly due to the introduction of Cesc Fàbregas into midfield, whose ill-disciplined pressing can leave gaps between the lines. He can afford to make no such mistakes against City, where the likes of Yaya Touré, Sergio Agüero and David Silva will be on hand to capitalise.

Manchester City injuries and suspensions

Out: Fernando (groin). In doubt: Stevan Jovetić (hamstring).

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Out: None. In doubt: Diego Costa (hamstring).

Happily, neither of these sides have any major injury problems. Manchester City will be without first-choice holding midfielder Fernando, though they could have the on-form Stevan Jovetić back from a hamstring problem. Chelsea, meanwhile, should have a full-strength team to choose from. José Mourinho has continued to voice fears over Diego Costa's hamstring, though he's still expected to play.
