The annual Ballon d’Or Gala is held on Monday, with football’s biggest individual award on offer. Heading into the ceremony, Cristiano Ronaldo is the favourite to pip Manuel Neuer and Lionel Messi to the main prize, though it could well be a close run thing. Neuer seems to be in with a real chance of being the first goalkeeper to win the award since Soviet great Lev Yashin.

There are also a string of other awards that will be dished out, including a Women's World Player of the Year, for which Germany's Nadine Kessler and Brazil's Marta will do battle with the USA's all-time leading goalscorer Abby Wambach.

The Men's World Coach award will be fought between Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti, Germany's Joachim Löw and Atlético Madrid's Diego Simeone, while the equivalent for women's football will be competed for by Wolfsburg's Ralf Kellermann, German U-20 coach Maren Meinert and Japan's Norio Sasaki.

However, perhaps the most fun prize on offer is the Puskás Award for the greatest goal scored in 2014. Robin van Persie's spectacular diving header against Spain at the World Cup will go head to head with James Rodríguez's spectacular volleyed effort against Uruguay at the same tournament. The clear outsider is another brilliant volley, albeit scored in rather less notable environs: Peamount United's Stephanie Roche scored her stunning goal against Wexford Youths in Ireland's Bus Eireann National League.

Most users around the world will be able to find the event streaming live on FIFA.com, however, it will be georestricted in the United States. You can find a list of countries that are restricted from viewing the FIFA stream here.

If you’re in the U.S. and want to catch the ceremony, it starts at 12:30 p.m ET. You’ll find it on FOX Sports 2 and online at FOX Sports Go or FOX Soccer 2 Go. Spanish speakers will be able to see it on FOX Deportes. Sportsnet World has Canadians covered, while those in the U.K. will have to tune into Sky Sports 5 or British Eurosport 1. They both have online streaming services: Sky Go and Eurosport Player. Other TV and online services can be found on Live Soccer TV.
