Oribe Peralta scores go-ahead goal for Mexico against USMNT in extra time

It had been a long time coming.

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Mexico set up shop in the United States' half around the 60th minute mark of their Confederations Cup playoff and didn't really leave. They couldn't find an opening and the Americans forced extra time, but the USMNT defense couldn't hold out long. Oribe Peralta fired El Tri in front in the 96th minute.

How about the effort on the assist by Paul Aguilar? Excellent stuff. That made it 2-1, putting the USMNT in quite a bit of trouble.
