With Tuesday’s matches, the group stage of Euro 2016 qualifying has come to a close, and we finally know the majority of the field that will be lining up in France next summer to crown the best national team in UEFA. Twenty of the 24 teams have been determined in the expanded European Championships field, with a playoff round still to come in November.

The larger tournament has given us a few surprise names in the fold this year, as well as a few assumed favorites failing to make the grade. Wales, Iceland, Northern Ireland and Slovakia all made their first-ever Euros, while the Netherlands and Greece failed to qualify. A few other big names, like Ukraine, Sweden and Denmark, will all have to win playoff ties in order to qualify.
