The European Championships are fast approaching now less than a year from being played next summer in France. The main group qualifying stage is complete, and we know 20 of the 24 teams that will be competing to be the best national side in Europe. The playoff round in November will give us those last four teams. But, first we need to have a draw to even figure out who will be playing who in that playoff.

It’s time to figure out who is going to play who in the Euro 2016 qualifying playoffs.

That draw takes place Sunday, with UEFA giving it the usual pomp and pageantry from their headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland. The third place teams from the Euro 2016 qualifying groups will all be in the draw -- save for Turkey, who directly qualified as the top-finishing third place team -- and we'll soon know what the two-legged ties to determine the four remaining teams for Euro 2016 will be.
Teams
For the purposes of the draw, the eight teams have been divided into two pots, “seeded” and “unseeded.” They were split up by their ranking in the just-updated UEFA national team coefficient scores, with the top four teams in the seeded pot and the remaining four going unseeded. Each home-and-away tie will have one team drawn from each pot.
The first leg matches of the ties will be played on Nov. 12, 13 and 14. The return leg will occur on Nov. 15, 16 and 17. The official schedule of which teams will be playing on which dates will be announced shortly after the draw.
