Fourth place looks more and more up for grabs every week. Chelsea lost again on Saturday, and they lost Nemanja Matic for next week’s game against Liverpool due to a suspension as well.
Jose Mourinho reported the Premier League for spam and logged off
Chelsea’s season is going well.

The only thing preventing the Blues from appearing like they’re in all-out free-fall is a victory over Aston Villa. That wasn’t terribly impressive when it happened, and it looks even less impressive in light of the Villains’ performance against Swansea. Don’t be surprised if Tim Sherwood is seeking alternative employment come Monday.
Leicester, meanwhile, have quietly crept up to fifth place. Jamie Vardy is an international treasure.
Saturday’s scores
Jose Mourinho is out of effs to give
Not only did Chelsea lose their fifth game of the Premier League season on Saturday, but Jose Mourinho got in trouble -- twice. He was sent off for allegedly going to confront the officials in their office, then refused to speak to the press after the game, for which he’ll receive a fine.

— WAGNH (@WAGNH_CFC) October 24, 2015 So nearly 50 minutes after Chelsea lose to West Ham, Mourinho is nowhere to be seen in the press room. Apparently, he got on the team bus.

— WAGNH (@WAGNH_CFC) October 24, 2015 Roman Abramovich has changed his ways and doesn’t want to be known as an owner with a temper and a propensity for kneejerk sackings, but Mourinho’s making his decision harder by the week.
Jamie Vardy is inexplicably awesome
His 10 goals are four better than the group of second-placed scorers in the Premier League, and Saturday’s winner against Palace gave him goals in seven consecutive games. He’s just the fifth player in Premier League history to do that.
The coolest thing about Vardy’s run might be the variety. It’s not like he’s only scoring tap-ins, or on set pieces. He’s doing it all, finding the back of the net on rockets, placed finishes and headers, on the break and on slow build-up plays. He’s just a really good, balanced forward. While this run can’t last forever, he certainly doesn’t look like a fluke.
Tim Sherwood might stink, but do we really know?
OK, so Aston Villa are bad and Sherwood appears to be out of ideas.
#AVFC’s last 12 Premier League matches: LLWLLDLLLLLL 1-1-10. Four points from 36 available.
— Alex Carson (@crashcarson15) October 24, 2015 The thing that says the most for me is that when Swansea scored, I felt nothing
— Matt Ferenchick (@MattF15) October 24, 2015 But does sacking him fix anything?
Those who think sacking Sherwood will cure Villa's problems are missing the point. The club is rotten + run by people who are not qualified
— Matt Law (@Matt_Law_DT) October 24, 2015 Randy Lerner has been trying to sell and unable to find a buyer at a price he finds suitable for two years now. It’s not surprising that a team owned by someone who wants to get out and hasn’t been able to doesn’t have great people running the show or a cohesive plan about how to improve going forward. Villa might be a historically big club with decent revenues, but is someone better than Sherwood really interested in taking the job right now?
