Chelsea vs. Liverpool 2015 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

The Premier League’s early Saturday game sees struggling Chelsea face off against Liverpool.

Defending Premier League champions Chelsea have had a remarkably poor start to the new season, and find themselves down in 15th place after the opening 10 rounds. Manager José Mourinho’s job is looking more precarious by the minute, and he could well be shown the door if they lose to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge in Saturday’s early kickoff.

Liverpool haven’t made the best of starts either, but at least confidence in their camp is high with the arrival of new manager Jürgen Klopp. The former Borussia Dortmund coach has drawn both of his opening league games, and will be hoping to end the Reds’ winless streak of three Premier League matches. A win could see them move as high as sixth place in the table.

Will Chelsea sack José Mourinho if they lose?

Like all of football’s maverick chairmen, it’s impossible to second-guess Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich. However, it goes without saying that he won’t be impressed by the Blues’ current league position, and he has a precedent of pulling the trigger on managers impulsively. It wouldn’t at all be surprising if defeat spelled the end for Mourinho.

Recent history

Recent matches between these sides have been very tight, though Chelsea have generally shaded them. The Blues have won four of the last six encounters with Liverpool, and only once did so by a margin of more than a goal. You have to go back to 2012 for the last time Liverpool beat Chelsea, though they did it with a handsome 4-1 win at Anfield.

Chelsea injuries and suspensions

Out: Thibaut Courtois (knee). In doubt: Diego Costa (rib); Branislav Ivanović (hamstring); Pedro (knock).

Liverpool injuries and suspensions

Out: Jon Flanagan, Danny Ings, Joe Gomez, Daniel Sturridge (knee); Jordan Rossiter (hamstring); Jordan Henderson (foot); Kolo Touré (hamstring). In doubt: None.

Chelsea's only certain absentee is goalkeeper Courtois, though he'll likely be joined on the sidelines by right-back Ivanović. Attackers Costa and Pedro both face late fitness tests.

Liverpool's injury list is rather longer, with Klopp set to miss a few of his most important players. Midfielder Henderson is still sidelined with a foot injury, while this game will likely come too soon for striker Sturridge. Their other absentees are all squad rotation players.
